This is cool, but are they going to remove it now that people have found it? They seem to like doing that with their easter eggs, which kind of defeats the point of having easter eggs in the first place.

What Easter eggs have been removed? Last time I checked Super Gore Nest still had that Tyrant one.

Removing easter eggs sounds really pointless, like i can't think of the mentallity/reason behind it.

It sort of erases what would be just little bits of gaming history, something small is lost and nothing at all is gained.

Like, imagine if later versions of Doom 2 changed Romero's head or changed the Wolfenstein levels (i don't mind how later versions already did it with removing the true nazi stuff, but rather replace the whole thing in general, with like, levels like Betray and Sewers lol)

 

It kind of reminds me of how later Doom 3 releases (BFG edition and beyond) had changes that didn't fix much, made things worse and just didn't made sense in general.

 

Anyway, hope Jason O'Connell finds another great path in life, after his journey at id.

but its easier to react like this since it requires less effort:

I'm pretty sure the word Doog itself isn't really copyrighted and was made from a meme that just had Korone in it, so the easter egg could have been vague enough you could even associate it with Isabelle.

It's like how "Big Chungus" as a term didn't came from Looney Tunes but the fat Bugs Bunny obviously did.

It's also just a basic thing on "more thing/less thing" and even a Slayer's Club article said they literally made the meme for the reaction.

 

The thing in general sounds weird, because i thought 2016 had a reference to BZPlasma

It's also something to do with gaming history and not only preserving the games but what's in them as well.

Like, the game isn't just a showcase piece, it's as museum on its own as well, something i think Hideo Kojima brought it up.
