Intermission Screen Bug

Hi, i'm a doom mapper and working on my WAD (Not a megawad) which is intended to have 10 levels and is currently at it's 5th level. I finally got the automap names of the levels to work, but tho there's a problem for the intermission screen. Whenever i finish a level, the text of the level name is not gray but kind of rainbow, it seems like a glitch but i've tried many solutions to fix this, not a single one worked. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you! :D (By the way, the download link for the wad is in my about me.)

Import the PNG into your wad, then convert it into Doom format and rename it appropriately. In Slade, you can do this by right click -> graphic -> convert to -> Doom gfx (paletted) (as I already mentioned in my first post :P)

It seems to me that you copied these CWIL graphics directly from some other wad that has a different palette, which then makes the colors look wonky in the regular Doom palette. What you should do is that wherever the text graphics look right, copy them over as truecolor PNGs (so convert them first if they're not) and paste them into your wad, and only then convert them to Doom graphics (right click -> graphic -> convert to -> Doom gfx (paletted)).

 

You also have like 4 nearly identical DEHACKED files, so you should probably get rid of all except one.

I didn't copy the CWILV Graphics, i've made them using DoomWord, otherwise i deleted 3 Dehacked files but i'm telling you i didn't copy the CWILV Graphics from any other wads. Also, i tried to do just that, but it didn't work 🤔

Now that's some vintage software right there. I haven't used it personally, so I don't really know how it works. Somewhere along the way the CWIL either gets indexed to the wrong palette or the palette entries are in a wrong order. But if it's ultimately just font stuff you need, I would recommend using this. It has plenty of adjustments, and once you're done you can just right click the text image and save it as a PNG.

Thanks, but i have one question tho, how do i turn the png into CWILV?
