4 Doomkid Posted May 22, 2021 (edited) So there are two "flame" objects in Doom, one is the Arch-Vile attack, but the other is the demon teleporter exit (only used on map30). To get a flamethrower like the one in RM2: Change the "plasma projectile" Thing to have a spawn state of 791, the first frame of the "demon teleport" flame. Then, change the Death state to either 791, or 281 if you prefer the more "crackly" Arch-Vile flame animation. Next, change the Alert and Death sounds to be 91 (the sound of crackling fire). Set the speed anywhere between 25 and 35. Set the damage to be whatever you want - anything over 15 will be absurdly powerful. This will replace your plasma gun with a flamethrower! As far as the sprite goes, feel free to use the sprite that comes with RM2, originally from Obituary by TiC, or you could use this old variant by Scuba Steve. 0 Bauul Posted May 21, 2021 I've not played the wad, but I suspect this is done using Dehacked to swap out a projectile (likely the plasma rifle's) for the Archvile's flame attack sprites. Give it gravity and a suitably fast fire rate, and you have yourself a functional flamethrower. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
