Checking authenticity of Doom 1.9 floppy disks from Japan

Hello fellow Doom nerds!

 

I recently purchased a registered copy of Doom via Yahoo! auctions Japan. It's 4 disk set and has V1.9 on it. The labels seem similar to other variants I've seen. For example, this Australian set:

 

 

If I understand correctly, id farmed out mail order in other countries, so the appearance of the disks is a little different depending on the region, year, etc. What do you think? Counterfeit? Real?

Most definitely authentic.

 

The amount of ways Doom, Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 were packaged and shipped are extremely numerous. The Doom 2 box alone has many, many official/authorized variants, so small differences like this are to be expected.

 

In other words, don't worry, you weren't scammed :)
