Spectre01 Posted May 28, 2021 I've been having a problem where trying to drag map elements like lines, vertices, things, etc. would occasionally open the edit menu for that thing, as is the case when simply right clicking. This seems to happen maybe 20% of the time but can still be rather frustrating, especially if I need to rearrange some vertices on natural terrain. My mouse is quite new and I haven't experienced this type of problem in other applications (where holding the button down registers a double-click). Is there anything I can do to mitigate this issue? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
rouge_means_red Posted May 29, 2021 I thought it was my mouse too! Except mine is old and the middle button is already broken 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Kappes Buur Posted May 29, 2021 It seems to be all in the timing. Click and move right away drags the item. Click and hover too long without moving opens the edit menu. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

It has nothing to do with timing. The edit dialog will open when you release the RMB before moving the mouse far enough. The edit dialog will not open when you moved the mouse far enough before releasing thr RMB (and thus enter dragging mode). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Bridgeburner56 Posted May 29, 2021 This is definitely an old bug that has been around since at least GZDB-bf days. Easiest way to fix it is to go in and out of visual mode. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
