Has anyone ever used the term "gibs" in public

Whenever I'm out in public and I bring up a gore scene from a movie or any dismemberment related thing, whatever it may be. I say gibs to refer to chunks of flesh or guts in general sometimes.

Alright lol, I have some explaining to do. I don't randomly just bring up dismemberment in public like some weirdo. I mean whenever I talk about a gore effect in a film or maybe videogame. I sometimes say "gibs" because I find it the appropriate word to use when describing it.

Hmm come think of it, I don't use it enough. I think I would just refer such things as gore. I suppose the need to describe individuals chunks of bloody corpse hasn't occurred all that often.

Yeah I've used it offline when it seemed like the best word to describe something.  Just depends on the context, really.  In basically all of the situations I was describing a video game to someone.

I do, but it's either in context of the following things:

1.) I'm talking gaming with someone.
2.) Something horrific has happened that resulted in near or total dismemberment or a living being.

 

Yes, the second happened once locally and it was newsworthy.  No, it was not a fun conversation.

I have heard John Romero say Giblets (with a soft g) in multiple videos from bygone years. That’s the only time I’ve heard it said aloud
