Oh wow, these give off some strong nostalgia for me lol; especially the space and the high peaks one. Reminds me of playing the bejeweled games way back then when I was a kid.

 

I wonder if this could be used to make some old school looking sky textures for Doom…

Duuude, I just got Bryce running and it hits right in the nostalgia.

I run it in win98 VM and have no idea how to get the images out, other than taking a screenshot of it

You know what would be really awesome? Building something in Doom Builder, exporting it as 3D model, and importing it in the Bryce scene.

Awesome, I had a phase of messing with a similar program just to create backgrounds for myself. I think it was TerraGen? Also I used to frequently browse digital blasphemy for cool images... to my surprise the guy hasn't stopped making backgrounds after all this time!

With this one I was trying to capture that same look and feel from that one Unreal level called Na Pali Haven. I think there are definitely some things I need to tweak and improve but I feel as if I am on the right path.

I saw the LGR video when it came out and I loved it. He mentioned another software called Mojo World. I've always wondered what the software was called that made those renders. Maybe I'll try that software out whenever I get the chance.

Got MojoWorld working recently and decided to mess around with it for a bit. It's pretty cool the stuff you can do with this software. I will definitely mess around with this some more in the future.

Your latest post just made this show up on my Doomworld page, I like what you're doing here but I especially liked the first image and thought it could make a good Doom sky, so I made one from it. Hope you don't mind! Image is 256px tall so it may need to be cropped/resized/whatever to use
