The words: "através" - "estará" - "portão". When typing these words into MAPINFO and then running the game, the words will come out weird like this: "atrav´s" - "estar~" - "port$o". I don't want that... Is it possible to write in Portuguese and leave the game with the correct words without a problem??? Edited June 12, 2021 by kassianoaguiar 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Gez Posted June 12, 2021 I would suggest sticking with ASCII in the definition lumps like MAPINFO, and instead using LANGUAGE to store your Unicode text strings. Use some advanced text editor to make sure the text is stored as Unicode UTF-8, and not a different encoding. (Sorry, SLADE's built-in text editor does not allow to specify character encoding. I don't actually know which one it uses.) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Is it possible to write in Portuguese and leave the game with the correct words without a problem??? the doom font lacks these letters maybe a advanced source port has it but the text will be broken on most of them your best option is to write incorrectly on purpose to avoid the broken text 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
