Doom64 with classic sprites and sounds

as per topic subject - any way/mod/whatever to play Doom64 with classic sprites and sounds?

Doom 64 for Doom 2 is what you're looking for.

Nice, but that's a Doom2 mod with Doom64 levels, 

whereas I am looking or a Doom64 mod with Doom2's sprites (and sounds).

I know @Dexiaz was working on something like that:
 

 

I know back then it was tricky to get this conversion into a mod. But now we have a technique to do it. So perhaps it will be released someday!

I'm still working on my project, it will be released someday. For your desire I can also change sounds, but only as external addon (because I don't think classic sounds suits D64 music)

This is true! Perhaps if classic sounds were used, mp3/ogg renders of the Doom 64 for Doom 2 soundtrack could be used. I think Molecicco made those for Doom 64 CE.
