Dunga Posted June 20, 2021 (edited) Hey I'm having problems with Steam's The Ultimate DOOM (not the DOS version). When I open the game, it appears in place of the image with DoomGuy and some demons with the game title on top, it appears a gray image with skulls and a pentagram in the middle, and when I press Enter and try to load my save , nothing it happens. How do I solve this problem? Edited June 20, 2021 by Dunga 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Expand 1: 2: Strange... whenever I open Steam and click on "PLAY"((image 1), this window appears asking which version of the game I want to open(image 2). (I apologize if you don't understand, I'm using google translator because I don't speak english :/ ) Edited June 20, 2021 by Dunga 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Cammy Posted June 20, 2021 I had this problem when I tried to play Doom on Steam. I would recommend avoiding the problem altogether by downloading a Source Port like GZDoom or PRBoom - these are programs that can be used to play Doom (and its fan-made content) much more robustly than what Steam can offer you. As long as you have The Ultimate Doom installed on your PC, these programs will automatically detect its presence, and then you can easily play the game however you like. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Option 1 starts it in the Unity wrapper, the second one is in DosBox. On 6/20/2021 at 2:54 PM, Dunga said: Hey I'm having problems with Steam's The Ultimate DOOM (not the DOS version). Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game again. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
