Al War Posted June 29, 2021 I'm currently having a problem where the sky is repeated twice vertically, because of the height of the sector. The platform is in height 0, but there is a void of -2048 and a cealing of 2048. The sky used is Sky3. And I need to stretch the Sky. I'm using Gzdoom, btw. Anyone can help me? Thank you in advance 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Kappes Buur Posted July 1, 2021 (edited) That is how the sky is displayed in the original Doom format. For the sky ceiling the engine uses the top colour and fills in the sky with a gradient of that colour, but for the bottom the image is repeated. So, you have two options: a. have a low wall cover up the low sections so that the bottom of the sky cannot be seen b. have a different sky image which tiles both horizontally and vertically But, since you map for GZDoom, you can use a skybox with either 3 or 6 images to show them as a spherical projection. Wadmodder Shalton Posted July 3, 2021 There was also this 6 image version of the default Doom sky textures for GZDOOM. It's very basic by today's standards but it's technically possible to make a 6 image version of the default sky textures from Doom. Want to see an expanded version of that, this time by using elements of the original MediaClips CD-ROM sources from Aris Entertainment for Doom's sky textures. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
