Well, yes. @Muusi have created special mod for Vanilla Doom. I'll add all features from this mod to Boiled Doom, I've already asked a permission to do this. Or you meant something different?

I meant more like the colored lighting that appears at projectiles and explosions. 

 

I think only Boom can simulate such an effect however.

Uh, this. I don't really know is it possible in DOS Doom, but people adviced to me check properly the Doom 4 Vanilla mod to take it's suitable for BD features. I'll check it.

Although I don't really care much for Brütal Doom anymore, this is an incredible feat! Keep up the good work!

Great work on your mod! Always lovely to see Doom II monsters in Doom 1 maps and the HUD is badass and fits the hardcore vanilla action very well! Definitely trying this out 😁

So I've had this idea for a while: what if you changed the pistol replacement to the little machine pistol seen on the Doom 1 cover art? I think BD has sprites of that? I don't remember.

This can be sort of done by changing monster hitpoints to 1 and player starting health to 1, but it doesn't account for medikits and whatnot.

No, it doesn't have such mode. This is not how the dehacked works. I can create a separate dehacked with changed parameters, mentioned by @maxmanium, but I'll do it when the main mod will be done.

Great contribution! Is it compatible with LZdoom? Because i've problems running the classic brutal doom due non-powerful pc. Thx!

The mod is compatible with chocolate doom, so surely advance source port like LZDoom will handle it without issue.

This is so ridiculously impressive. I'm not a big gameplay mod guy, but credit to Sgt. MarkIV, he has mad an excellent mod. And the fact you can convert it to vanilla is crazy. Great job.

My dear friends, don't worry, I didn't forgot about this project, I'm just a very lazy ass. Actually, I'm working on new build, I can't guarantee, but I hope to release it for the New Year.

No need to sorry, it's understandable question. Last weeks I'm working without days off on real life job, so I don't have much time for modding at all. Plus I'm kinda depressed so I don't really want to work on anything at all. So it's my turn to apologize to all of you.

Just saw this thread bumped, I have little interest in brutal doom but for some reason a vanilla version seems awesome!  Don't apologize at all, your life and mental health come before all of this!  Don't work on the mod if you're struggling with other stuff, do what you need to do and I'll enjoy the mod if/when it ever comes out :-)

Oh no, man, no need to apologize, it's completely understandable.

Health is priority after all, and you shouldn't feel pressured at all. Take your time, work on yourself and continue whenever you feel ready. No hurries at all 👍

Ok, finally I've kicked my own ass to do something, and now I can show you new footage of this mod!

 

 

 

Almost everyone were complaining about absence of blood splats. Finally they are here. Also I've added reloading sounds to the rifle and plasmagun (same sound effect, though, don't forget it's vanilla), and thanks to @Muusi I've added glowing eyes effects (and not only eyes).
