I've not played this game in the 90s but the music sounds very nostalgic to me, reminding somewhat of TV shows from back then.

Dune Eternal, Deep Blue, Death Odyssey, Altars of Apostasy, and the Castle Vien remix goes so hard.

And this is just tracks from act 2

 

I cant get over the Saxophone in Deep Blue, it makes the song. It was a late feature, the dev posted Deep Blue early as a teaser for act 2 and it did not have the Sax, it sounded awesome but something was missing. 

Also Dune Eternal also has "Into Sandy's City" in it, since its for a desert level.

Losing is fun when you're never expected to win in the first place. When you free your mind of the idea of "winning," you can do whatever you want. Only then you're truly free.

Is the whole ULTRAKILL soundtrack made by Keygen Church or just some of it? I haven't played it yet but been following Keygen Church / Master Boot Record for a few years now

HOWEVER, Minecraft's aria math is my personal favorite song from a non-doom game. Kudos to c418 for pulling a mozart on that one.

Shoot, the video is no longer available. I do recall that it was Out of Phase from the Parasite Eve I soundtrack. I was recently listening to the M.I.S.T. HQ music from Parasite Eve II, which is a similar melody:

 

 

Playing Parasite Eve II was the happiest time of my life, so the music is always great to listen to for me.

Nope, its made by the games creator. I think the most recent song made is made by Keygen but its just gonna be for the upcoming secret level.

I love Love Psalm from the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack and have heard some good guitar covers of it. I think this series is really an example of how video game music can truly be exceptional.

When it comes to Donkey Kong Country 2, the soundtrack gushing is typically directed to either Stickerbrush Symphony or Forest Interlude.

 

I'm Team Forest Interlude. This is a brilliant showcase of what the SNES sound chip could do. Eerie, mysterious and yet so peaceful.

I flip every other day on which track I like more. Oddly enough, since I never had a SNES growing up (I was a Sega kid), I had never heard this song until I played the first Golden Souls. I never expected it to be an actual track from a Donkey Kong game, despite being in a DK-inspired level. I had no idea where the song came from until I watched a YouTube vid of a Terry WAD that featured it too, and the comments led me to this AND Stickerbush. These 2 songs, plus Aquatic Ambiance, are not only 3 of the best pieces of VGM, but just 3 of the best pieces of ambient music of all time.

i love all of the Jazz Jackrabbit music in both games (with the sole exception of nippius from jazz 1 by god what are those low pitched off rhythm kicks doing there) but i can jam out to Labratory all day long. i am weak for crystalline synths and dark basslines. gotta be one of my favorite musical genres

Say what you will about Warriors games (it's probably already been said either way), but they have some awesome metal and metal/electronic fusion tracks. My other favorites (or at least favorites from the same games, see also: Lee Jackson's entire catalogue) have already been covered in this thread, so I figure this will be something not a lot of people around here have heard.
