I seem to recall it being fairly well received here, as it was designed for that console rather than ported to it ("Boss levels" in GBA Doom were just "MOAR BARONS") Unfortunately I don't remember much more about it, beyond 3D-rendered weapons with that turn-of-the-century plastic-ey look, and lots of dark grey textures. There were two, one which used the actual Doom tech, and the other using the Southpaw Engine, which was also used in the 2005 FPS Ice Nine (And Duke Nukem Advance) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Oh, that's Dark Arena, which was build on the Jaguar Doom code. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jayextee Posted June 23, 2023 I remember Dark Arena. One of the devs scouted this very place for mappers for the game way back when; I remember I sent them a map I'd made to be told "great, cool, fax us a signed copy of this NDA then we can chat!" -- I did, then heard absolutely nothing back. Eyyyyy. (Yes, fax. This was early 2000's, not far outta the '90s I believe) 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
