A Steam Deck.

It arrives tomorrow, exactly a year and a day after I preordered it.

Update: It didn't, because FedEx couldn't figure out how to move something 27 miles in faster than 13 hours, and then even once it arrived at that place, it sat around for almost 16 before departing it again.

It's now supposedly arriving tomorrow. If so, it will need to be in my city by the end of today.

YPbPr component cables for my 3-in-1 component switcher so that I can wall mount my HDTV with component cables already connected while being able to switch what is output to the component cables without having to reconnect with the ports on the HDTV.

Update 2: Electric Boogaloo - it came yesterday as scheduled. :)

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined for PS4. I honestly had an easier time with the Cuphead DLC. It is way more brutal than the SNES original and is probably gonna end up joining Wild Guns Reloaded as another SNES remaster that I won't be able to beat.

Philips OneBlade, Sennheiser HD660S and s1 of Lovecraft Country on DVD.

The lastest heatwave really taught me that my old headphones clamped down too hard on my head. Goddamn what a headache.

I played 2 shortly after 3 got announced, I kept delaying my walkthrough. When I finally sat down to play it was fantastic. I have Torna but have yet to play it. I was supposed to after finishing 2 but ended up playing other stuff.

I recently discovered David Thorne, a former graphic designer turned satirist who started writing funny articles on his personal website and fucking with people (mostly his co-workers from his old design company job) via email back in the late 2000s. I bought this compendium book that contains ALL of the hilarious email correspondences he's featured on his website from 2008-2021. Whether it be irritating his co-workers, copyright disputes with one of his publishers, back and forths with losers who felt the need to write and complain about his books, witless trolls, neighbourhood watch-group email chains, Thorne proved to me just how much fun you can have dicking around with your email. I was only a mere 20 pages into it before I found myself wheezing in hysterics. For a free sample, please enjoy one of his emails that was featured in an episode of Have I Got News For You:

This is the best purchase decision I've made in a while. Thorne is my brand new favourite funnyperson that I've quickly become obsessed with and I can't wait to buy every single one of his other books and laugh myself into an early grave.

Doom Eternal for the Switch from Limited Run.

I just couldn't withstand to have a full physical Main Game Collection of Doom on a Nintendo System.

Also Shredders Revange arrived, played about 15 Minutes and seems nice, Baby wasn't in the Mood to sleep and let me play haha.

Hopefully later.

It is a button-masher - you can probably just pass the little one a joycon already.

i got a 6inch/15cm architect's scale

or in this scenario, sector sketcher's straightedge, easier to move around compared to flat ruler or the personal pocket internet device i was using when mapping out floors in wizardry.
some more wood pencils too, castell 9000 in B, they smell nice. the scale is made of metal and not plastic surprisingly, but a translucent one would have been sick.

Spoiler

i've started about 3-4 "first maps" since 2016ish, so maybe starting one on paper would help me finish One map at least. we'll see
