As of me, I finally crossed the path to the big ass synth border and got me a Korg Nautilus. This is the most complex machine I ever got so far and I wanted a solid backbone for music composition. This should hopefully be the break I need. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Eon Toad Posted March 8, 2023 Picked up this fountain pen. Just a cheap but reliable knockoff of a Pelikan. I've made it a habit to gift one any time a friend completes a big creative project, like finishing their first book, album, stand-up comedy set, etc. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Azuris Posted March 8, 2023 Magical Quest feat Micky Mouse Earthworm Jim Slowly moving to 100 Super Nintendo Games, but still 19 (Modules*) left and i am not finding so many worth buying and playing (i only buy what i'll have some enjoyment playing). Also some are so damn expansive, i am glad i never sold my Games, i wouldn't start collecting them otherwise nowadays. *I only count Modules, so the Joe and Mac Collection and Dragon Quest 1 and 2 are only two Games. Also digital Games i do not count, First Samurai examplewise on Gog has the original Snes Rom you can throw on your SD2SNES/Everdrive or FPGA Machine. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
leejacksonaudio Posted March 9, 2023 Four pounds of premium goat's milk fudge from Buster & Bella's in Vermont. Two pounds of chocolate, one pound of vanilla birthday cake, and one free pound of maple walnut. I've already had some of their stuff. It's incredibly good, especially the chocolate - insert Simpsons moan here - yes, it's that good. They had a special going - buy 3 pounds, get a pound of maple walnut free. Only 24 pounds of maple walnut were set aside for the free giveaway. I got one of the free pounds. Lucky me. Now, how to explain it to my wife...screw it. I wanted this. I'll litigate for it. https://busterandbellas.com 4 Quote Share this post Link to post

Midway64 Posted March 11, 2023 If i remember correctly, my last purchase would be the Valve Complete Pack on Steam, has a lot of good games (Opposing Force, L4D, ya know) and I got it for dirt cheap (literally, it was 44 pesos on sale), worth the buy if Gaben blesses you with the Summer Sales. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Eon Toad Posted March 12, 2023 (edited) Just got Rob Halford's second book on audiobook. This one's less autobiographical and more focused on his career and industry insights. So far it's really good. Edited March 12, 2023 by Eon Toad 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Grazza Posted March 17, 2023 Yet another coffee grinder. They just keep breaking down. At least Milton (cat) should like this new one, as it is the same make and model (albeit a different colour) as the one he grew up with as a kitten. He hasn't liked the sound make by the later ones, and gave me a dirty look if I started them up when he was nearby. Same-day delivery. So I actually used the same beans that I had put in the old grinder a few hours earlier just before discovering it would grind no more. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
HavoX Posted March 17, 2023 (edited) I bought three, that's right, THREE things yesterday... The first one was Noctua's NA-IS1-12 chromax.black Sx2 120mm inlet fan spacers. I was hoping these would fix the issue with the front fans reporting lower-than-advertised maximum RPM's. They did not. It was worth a shot though... EDIT: I found out what the problem was: it was the fan grills. I took them out, and now they sound smoother, thanks to the spacers. The second one was a three pack of thermal past spreaders. I haven't gotten to using one of them yet, but it should make applying thermal paste a LOT easier.. And finally, I bought a drawing tablet. (Good thing it was on sale!) I used to be a good drawer when I was younger, but my drawing skills might have rusted a bit; hopefully when I'm NOT gaming or benchmarking, I'll put this pup to good use.. enigma101 Posted March 17, 2023 Five physical copies of PC games: - Thief 1 - Thief 2 - Deus Ex - Kingpin: Life of Crime - Severance I was surprised I managed to find all of these at the same shop, as I'd usually have to order most of them separately. All of them combined cost less than any one would cost on Steam or GOG, and I have some nice physical copies of games I enjoy! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted March 19, 2023 (edited) And now a new scanner. Don't know why everything is stopping working all of a sudden. My previous scanner has been getting increasingly dodgy for a while though. At first I thought maybe Tippy had bitten through the power cord , but a close inspection suggested that wasn't the problem. EDIT: This scanner is a complete piece of shit and no one should buy one ever. Edited March 24, 2023 by Grazza 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
leejacksonaudio Posted March 20, 2023 I finally pulled the trigger at Cherry Audio and bought their "Synth Stack 3" bundle. It's basically all of the synthesizers they sell, up through 2022 (I already own their 2023 releases). The price is prorated for the number of synths you already own, so my discounted price was just $41 and change. All they have left that I don't own is a couple of effects processors, and lord knows I don't need those with all of the Waves and the Plugin Alliance plugins I already have. https://cherryaudio.com/products/synth-stack-3 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
