HavoX Posted March 23, 2022 An Eevee doll. Got it on Monday, which was three days earlier than it was originally planned. Unfortunately, the Eevee doll I got did not match the product's description. This is what I got instead: Other than that, there were no problems (no rips, no tears) on arrival. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
leejacksonaudio Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) A piece of commissioned artwork from Kittyhawk, renowned webcomic artist (warning - some items can be NSFW): https://montrose.is/commissions/ Has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I'm putting out a new single on May 6th. Nope. Nothing at all. :) Edited March 23, 2022 by leejacksonaudio 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
hybridial Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) After this long, I'm not very sure if Devilman Crybaby will ever see a retail release outside of Japan. There is a blu ray boxset, which includes English subtitles, and well, it costs lets call it a *shitload* of money because of the way the Japanese market is for these things. But I decided, I'll do it. I love Devilman so much, even if this series was not perfect by any means. It might be the last time anything Devilman is animated, for all I know. I really don't wanna not own it, even if this is the only way. Edited March 23, 2022 by hybridial 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SirPootis Posted March 24, 2022 Last week I bought a modified Guitar Hero controller with the original hardware gutted and replaced with an Arduino running custom firmware, along with mechanical switches for the fret buttons and the strumbar, as well as original 3d-printed fret buttons and strumbar, all powered by USB, so i don't need a weird ps2-to-pc dongle or anything. nice little thing that lets me get back into a rhythm game i loved as a kid :D 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

HavoX Posted March 28, 2022 (edited) Managed to nab Yooka-Laylee (Better late than never, huh?) for $7.99 on Steam as part of a week-long deal. Edited March 28, 2022 by HavoX 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I'm wondering if I should bother going back to it. I bought it a few years ago, but never got more than an hour or two into it. I was never a huge fan of Rare's adventure games, I played Banjo Kazooie for a few hours, as well as Conker's Bad Fur Day, but they just seemed like fetch-fests. Watching my younger brother play Donkey Kong 64 kind of cemented the idea that Rare was really bad at making adventure games and padded everything with a bunch of items to collect. They made some really good shooters though. It didn't help that I bought it around the same time "A Hat in Time" was released, far more enjoyable. xX_Lol6_Xx Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) Went to an arcade-like place with my brother and spent $300 MXN in videogames (Don't know if that can be considered a purchase, I did buy some popcorn and a soda). It was fun Edited March 29, 2022 by Lol 6 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
The Royal We Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) But if you're talking about games, my last purchase was Ron Gilbert's Thimbleweed Park. Marvelous! Edited March 29, 2022 by The Royal We 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I liked the Delores demo, but never pulled the trigger on the full game because almost everything I read indicated that the writing jumped off a cliff in the final act. And now I'm reading that the same thing happens in NORCO. Which I've just purchased. Bugger. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Actually this is the second time I buy the game, this time for iOS (nothing like playing adventure games in bed). Even though I understand the criticism, I believe the ending matches the metalinguistic atmosphere of the game very well. If you liked the demo, I think it's worth giving it a try. (I did a Google image search... NORCO looks very interesting! It's not what I would say about Thimbleweed Park since I like the game as a whole, but there are many gem games that the journey is worth more than the end. Happiness is the road they say) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I've bought a tonne of games in a short timeframe recently and have to cool the wallet, but next time I'm splashing out, I'll go into Thimbleweed Park with an open mind. NORCO's played a lot straighter than Gilbert's stuff, but if you enjoy point-and-click adventures, you'll find a really richly-detailed and well-expressed world within just the demo. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
PeterMoro Posted March 29, 2022 Just bought a pair of: Turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 (headset) They are in the mail. Pricey but they look great for XboxSeriesX / PC use. Might playtest new Doom wads with voiceover, in the future. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Dweller Dark Posted March 29, 2022 Most recently, some new bookshelves for my room, but I also got Masters of Doom paperback, Iron Maiden Senjutsu and Brave New World CDs, and Black Sabbath's 13 CD. I couldn't upload pictures of the bookshelves straight to Doomworld, so I made a post on my Twitter account and put that in a status update on my Doomworld profile. They're cheap $20-$30 Mainstays bookshelves, but they get the job done. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
