Not sure how I feel about all these new member introduction threads. I remember some years ago threads like these would get removed because they were seen as pointless, which is kinda my stance on them.

The irony is that some members who create their own threads to introduce themselves then proceed to stop posting entirely soon after joining, which makes this kind of introduction quite literally pointless. I'm not saying this about Angeljones specifically, but in general.

I just think quietly joining the community is the way to go, heh.

yeah i agree maybe the admins should delete these threads after a while because i see them every day

We used to have an Introductions subforum on my old forum, but it is kind of pointless for the most part. You don't really need to make a formal introduction here. We'll see that you're new and learn about you the more you hang out with us and contribute to discussions and activities.

Doubt that would help, outside of maybe if the person in question says their age (and depending on the age they might as well say it pretty quick), I doubt anybody would be really truthful to the age thing, YouTube is supposed to be over the age of 13 to create and account yet there are 9 y/o that even say their age in comments that have their own account

My very first post was in Editing Questions and, along with said questions, I started it with something along the lines of "Very first DW post, oh well, nobody cares anyways." And guess what, worked out fine enough!
