Quakeworld was designed to enhance the multiplayer aspects of Quake.

 

If you're looking for a sourceport, use Fitzquake, Quakespasm or Quakespasm Spiked if you're looking for a pretty close to original experience but with modern accoutrements like widescreen support. I would go with Quakespasm Spiked. If you're looking for a graphics overhaul, go with Darkplaces. But it can get pretty system heavy depending on how many effects you turn up. That being said, I played the early releases of Darkplaces on a 3.4 Ghz Pentium 4, single core, with 128 MB of Ram and a Voodo 4. Anything made past 2000 should have no problems running Quake or it's source ports, unless it's Darkplaces and there's a ton of mods and custom textures involved. 

 

And you could stand to work on your decorum. People are trying to help you; saying "dumb" to people who are only trying to get more information so they can provide better assistance is a completely dick move. And please, learn more about your computer so you can provide relevant information. Without your system information it's really hard to provide any useful help.

I'm assuming this is a question without an actual problem. There's no reason a computer made during this century should have a problem running Quake.

And then ask if Winquake is the best port, ignoring all the suggestions given. Yeah, that'll happen.

The thing is that this has been suggested by 3-4 individual people now, including myself. There is, however, zero indication that the OP downloaded Quakespasm.
