DeathwingDuck Posted July 20, 2021 Although I have my resources to find material to stream, I decided to make this in hopes that I can have a more direct approach to finding stuff to play. You can recommend to me either something you might think I'd find fun or even something you made yourself. I typically use GZDoom as I like exploring a lot of mods and maps that push the boundaries. Not against using other source ports though. I'm also not against playing works in progress, though I'd prefer something finished so it has enough meat to it. If you're curious about what I would find enjoyable, I do have a youtube where I archive most of my playthroughs of mods and map packs. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMza8B0ShGHGj731u5633kw And here is my twitch page in case you're interested as well. https://www.twitch.tv/deathwing_duck 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Wavy Posted July 20, 2021 (edited) Is Doom, The Way We Remember It a good choice? Edited July 20, 2021 by Wavy 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Check out Dread Moon; There are horizontally moving floors here, which I feel confident that you won't have seen before in GZDoom levels. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Teo Slayer Posted July 20, 2021 You can try the Maps of Chaos pack if you wish. It adds more enemies and more details to the maps. It also adds new areas as well. It's normally designed for Brutal DOOM, but if you don't like BD you don't have to use it, it's enjoyable in the Classic DOOM way too The link https://www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom/addons/brutalized-doom-and-doom-ii 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DeathwingDuck Posted July 22, 2021 @Wavy I'll check that out. I remember seeing it pop up once on a search and glossed over it for some reason. @GwarlSounds interesting, definitely! Thanks! @Li'l devil These might be good for when I want to knock out some short, single maps. I would actually love to build up a folder of some ever since I finished playing through the Vinesauce contest wad submissions, thanks. @Teo Slayer Already played through Maps of Chaos but they'd be good to revisit with some more gameplay mods. @LadyMistDragon Appreciated! Haven't come across this one yet. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Alfredo Posted July 22, 2021 This is a WIP. But i've made 19 levels so far. Should be good stream content :) Requires GZDoom and the Hardware Accelerated video mode. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ViolentBeetle Posted July 23, 2021 All the maps are done and there will only be minor tweaks before it's released. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Deadwing Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) If you feel like going through a megawad :D It's a bit harder than the usual stuff, but nothing slaughter (but it can be more annoying depending on what you like, tbh) Play the first 2 levels and see you if you enjoy Edited July 23, 2021 by Deadwing 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DollarStoreChili Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) Are you into total conversions? I find splatter house compelling. I've only played a little of it, but my god the atmosphere is on point and it's quite challenging. https://mikestoybox.net/2017/02/12/splatterhouse-3d/ Edited July 23, 2021 by DollarStoreChili 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
