thewaver Posted July 21, 2021 Hi. I have been working on a megawad for many months now. Inspired by @DavidN I decided to divide my maps into "episodes" and have a central "hub" that lets you access each cluster individually (Quake style). Things are working almost perfectly, except I cannot figure out how to define that this hub map should be the first map when starting a new game. I am using GZDoom and DoomBuilder. Can anyone lend me a hand, please? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
1 DavidN Posted July 21, 2021 You can define the map you start on in MAPINFO as well! Slightly confusingly, this is called an “episode” - and an episode definition just defines the map you begin on. https://zdoom.org/wiki/MAPINFO/Episode_definition Clearepisodes episode MAP15 {} You could even call it something completely different like MAPHUB if you like - there is no restriction on map names in MAPINFO 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

0 Kan3 Posted July 21, 2021 Have you already tried defining it in a MAPINFO txt as map01? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 thewaver Posted July 21, 2021 Well, before creating the hub I already had 14 maps - named MAP01 - MAP14. Is there no alternative to renaming all of them? (renaming = changing file name + changing internal name in DoomBuilder) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
