SLOTH MARINE (CB) Posted July 24, 2021 You can put any wad from 1994 to 1999 here, just tell what it is called and give small description, and the wad in zip or rar file, obviously. BF_THUD A 1995 mapset consisting of small levels that look like your average 90's wad BF_THUD!.zip 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
SuperCupcakeTactics Posted July 24, 2021 (edited) THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE ARCHITECTURAL (DOOM I) This WAD from 1999 definitely vibes with me very well and is most assuredly groovy. Fun MIDIs and architectural. Edited July 24, 2021 by SuperCupcakeTactics 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
P41R47 Posted July 25, 2021 A little 1996 7 maps wad. Awesome puzzley maps with a great challenge, a really funny story, and good mapping. Only bad is that is too short. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

kalensar Posted July 25, 2021 https://www.moddb.com/games/doom-ii/addons/herian2-fixed Herian2 from 1999 is a 32 level megawad that smashes Heretic Textures, custom enemies and Doom weaponry into a fun filled adventure of fantasy proportions. Super cool wad. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Xeogred Posted July 26, 2021 I played Fava Beans (April 1995) for the first time this year and was pretty shocked at how well it holds up. It's really freaking cool. Excellent E1 replacement with a lot of non-linearity, huge optional secrets/keys and progression sometimes, nice verticality which seemed really impressive for its time, etc. https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom/0-9/01fava It was interesting replaying No Rest for the Living again later this summer too and honestly, the first half of it felt like Fava Beans 2.0 in a way. Similar design ideas with a lot of the secrets/optional keys, etc. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Somniac Posted July 26, 2021 Run Buddy, a classic 90s map where all the architecture seems three times bigger than usual. Very imposing. https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/p-r/runbuddy 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
