Thoughts? [on animation]

So if you've been reading most of my posts you are aware I'm making a game in idtech1 (GZDoom, granted but still the same engine) and it is a wild west game. I was wondering what you were thinking of this KKK head gibbing animation, Thoughts and criticism appreciated :

(Also when it was being exported it was sped up for some reason, so if you can slow it down)

it looks pretty good. I feel like you should provide more animations instead of just the head explosion. maybe the whole death animation. I also feel like this should go in Doom Editing. pretty cool, though.

Thanks I'll post it there too, and yeah it's not complete, really just a character test to see if I can draw him right

GZDoom is its own engine by now, that also plays Doom.

Different enough to the original Idtech1

But wild west and KKK... what era is that?

Well kind of, it's still based off the doom engine and uses a lot of it's source code

But wild west and KKK... what era is that?

late 1860s that's why the KKK was formed because some southern guys were mad the confederacy lost so they formed it, thanks for the reply :)

don't know why, but for some reason Wild west was earlier on my head, like 1790 or so.
But now that i think of it, the first barrelled pistols were around, so it makes sense.
Also KKK always appeard as a 1900 thing on my head, but yes, they appeared far earlier than that.

yeah lol the general time period is always a point of contention between people, the only thing they seem to agree is that it started in the early to middle of the 1800s.

You don't have to double post. it can be seen as spamming. hit the + multipost button next to the "Quote" button and respond to all the posts you want to in one post, instead of 2. it can be seen as spamming.

I think KWC meant to send you the page so you could post other sprites you've made, not this one. Now, this topic can be seen as unnecessary. 

I recommend reading this post I made explaining how to post on Doomworld. Spamming is a subsection there. I also recommend reading the rest of it since you're new.

They used to be an asshole violent militia around the wild west era. certainly would have existed in the wild west due to manifest destiny to expand America's democracy. No actually, I've been trying to think of cool western names, but all of them are, taken (If it was just a mod instead of a whole game it would "DoomStone) but I would take ideas if you have them, (sorry for the late reply.)

Definitely haven't decided yet but I thought "Lawless" sounded cool

Yeah, thanks! Although It's not my main concern, I try to inject historical accuracy whenever I can, also is "Lawless" good name?
