Try reading the disc in another drive, if you can find someone who still has a floppy drive. Otherwise, see https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/historic/ for the shareware versions available (0.99, 1.1, 1.2 and later). Judging by the filename and the date, I say you have the 1.2 shareware version on floppy.

i do lol i do have 1.2 i think thats the version when doom shareware got in stores am pretty sure

You'll need DOSbox in order to run the setup program, later Windows versions don't support the old format anymore . . .

Ik i need dosbox am no newbie i have a windows xp laptop should run fine without dosbox but i need make no sound change midi to no music change sound to pc speaker if u like then it runs decent

Yes, they tend to last quite a bit longer than magnetized discs, because magnets tend to decay. I still have my original Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 discs from '94 and '95, and they seem to have all the original data. And Kyrandia and Myst from '93.

 

I've got a bunch of old 3.5 floppies, including the Doom shareware, but I haven't had a floppy drive for 15 years or more, so I have no idea if they still work
