Wadmodder Shalton Posted August 19, 2021 (edited) We know that Freedoom already has a DoomWiki entry and that it mentions the unofficial commercial forks for macOS & iOS. But I think it should also be nice to include both the maps and music from Freedoom to have their own entries on the DoomWiki. For the maps they should be put into it's own wiki with multiple sub-entry for each map, including maps that were included and later removed & replaced in later versions of Freedoom Phase 1 & 2 as well as FreeDM. The reason to separate the maps from the main Freedoom page is so that we can analyze what map order & layouts changed during Freedoom's later development in the mid to late 2010s. The music of Freedoom should also be very similar to the layout of the DoomWiki's entries of the Classic Doom games OST to indicate what map uses which song, and to mention the previously used & removed MIDI music dating from the early stages of Freedoom's development to even mentioning MIDI's that were submitted but not used in Freedoom Phase 1 & 2 as well as FreeDM, similar to the unused Plutonia MIDI Pack tracks. What do you think about my suggestions on Freedoom's maps & music being inclusioned for a DoomWiki entry? Feel free to provide comments in this forum thread. D4NUK1 Posted August 19, 2021 Any more info on any Doom wad should be on Doomwiki. The problem for me would be to know how many versions of the same level are, as many songs and levels changed. But to start to have the up to date information could be a good start. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted August 19, 2021 More info on the Doom Wiki, the better! There are so many Wanted Pages, and the more filled out, the better! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Wadmodder Shalton Posted August 19, 2021 In regards to the maps, a few revisional differences should be featured between the oldest maps that are still included in Freedoom Phase 1 & 2 and even FreeDM, while the maps removed from later versions should have a few information and the revisional differences before their removal in later releases. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Catoptromancy Posted August 20, 2021 Maybe Freedoom should have its own wiki. For historical, credits, and attic purposes. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
