The zip contains a 53-second long MIDI riff that I thought was pretty cool. Depending on how big the levels are (since E1M1 is only a par of 30 seconds) this MIDI riff could be just fine. Tell me if it needs improving, I made this in about 15 minutes.

Well this is a deathmatch WAD, so the par time and amount of time spent by players on the map is irrelevant. I'd say like a minute and a half long song should be fine. I'm currently not able to listen to the MIDI right now since I'm in class.

Yo, actually this seems like something I could do. I have a few midis that are slowly rotting away in my files somewhere I could use, and I could make a level or two as well since I need a break from workin' on my own wad (I get kinda burnt out easily if I don't have like 2 or 3 things to work on at a time lmao). Anything specific you'd want?

Also, would you want singleplayer starts and/or monsters or just multiplayer mayhem?

So, over Quake Twango, there's a doom dm project too?

Yeah, I mean it began as a Doom WAD project so, but I'd like to eventually cover a lot games. Probably not to the same scale as TWANGO1 or Ultimate TWANGO (or the other idtech1 games), but I'd I'd eventually like to make like a deathmatch episode for Duke Nukem 3D or Blood.

I'll probably make something for this even though I've never made a deathmatch map. Hopefully it'll turn out good.

I'll take E1M1. I'd love to a map for dm for this project, so unless it's taken, I'll go for E1M1. 

 

Also, can we use the orignal map as a base (like Dwango Map01s usually being a Entryway replacement) and can I use a midi if I didn't write it?

I did make music for E1M1 but you don't have to use it, it's rather short and boring. Unless I can do redo the MIDI and give it to you?

Well, we could partner on E1M1, I was excited and didn't read the replies lol. I'll listen to your midi first. It's probably better than what I was gonna pick.

Dude, that rocks. My only suggestion would be to maybe extend it with an Episode 1 style section with like sine wave synths or something (just to break it up). Otherwise, that kicks butt and I'd love to use it.

Thanks, but I think that was more of a test of what could be acceptable and not actually a real piece to be used. But I will start working on something of that kind if it suits your map!

Sounds great, I like the overall sound of it, so an extended jam of it would be great.
