Same submission requirements as TWANGO1, but for those who are new, see below. ! IMPORTANT: MAP REQUIREMENTS ! Must be 100% vanilla compatible no VPOs or HOMs Optimized for both deathmatch 1 and deathmatch 2 modes using the following guidelines: skill 1-2: ammo pickups, no cell weapons skill 3: deathmatch 1 (a.k.a. old deathmatch), cell weapons allowed, no ammo pickups skill 4: altdeath, cell weapons allowed, ammo pickups Must use the stock Doom palette Stock textures are not required, but encouraged Feel free to add your own "signature texture" to the map if you'd like! (map name, author name, TWANGO logo texture, etc.) Give your map a good (not too long) name! ADD A LEVEL EXIT! ALSO NOTE Custom assets are also appreciated, which includes: intermission screens MIDIs status bars whatever else you'd like to contribute! Pre-existing asset suggestions are also welcome (as long as you have permission)! VISUAL DIRECTION The over all stylistic direction is the typical "the Way id Did" style that most Doom 1 WADs seem to go for. Try to emulate the style of a specific Ultimate Doom episode (Phobos base, Deimos base, Inferno Hell, TFC Hell, maybe Sigil Hell if you want). See MISHMASH.WAD as an example. xdude_gamer Posted September 1, 2021 The zip contains a 53-second long MIDI riff that I thought was pretty cool. Depending on how big the levels are (since E1M1 is only a par of 30 seconds) this MIDI riff could be just fine. Tell me if it needs improving, I made this in about 15 minutes. D_E1M1.zip Well this is a deathmatch WAD, so the par time and amount of time spent by players on the map is irrelevant. I'd say like a minute and a half long song should be fine. forgettable pyromaniac Posted September 2, 2021 Yo, actually this seems like something I could do. I have a few midis that are slowly rotting away in my files somewhere I could use, and I could make a level or two as well since I need a break from workin' on my own wad (I get kinda burnt out easily if I don't have like 2 or 3 things to work on at a time lmao). Yeah, I mean it began as a Doom WAD project so, but I'd like to eventually cover a lot games.
