ironmanmine12 Posted September 8, 2021 I want to change the title and intermission screens so it works with the GZDoom source port, is this applicable? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SMG_Man Posted September 8, 2021 Depending on how different you want it to be, there are a couple of ways to go about this. If you want a very simple change, like "I want a different intermission pic like how TNT Evilution has a different one from Doom 2", all you have to do is find the picture you want and put it into your WAD, then rename it to match the intermission pic entry in the Doom 2 IWAD ("INTERPIC"). When your WAD is loaded, your custom intermission pic should override the default Doom 2 one. If you want a more dynamic change, like how Knee Deep in ZDoom has a lot of stuff going on (video should be timestamped in the spoiler box), Spoiler you're going to have to mess with the MAPINFO lump. I'm not too familiar with this doing this myself, but you could at least get started using the ZDoom wiki's entry about Intermission definitions here https://zdoom.org/wiki/MAPINFO/Intermission_definition Hope this helps 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ironmanmine12 Posted September 8, 2021 Didn't work. It works in DosBox, but not in GZDoom or Zandronum. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SMG_Man Posted September 8, 2021 In SLADE: (didn't edit the mapinfo file at all) while playing my WAD in GZDoom: Make sure you're naming the file right? Otherwise idk what to tell you (p.s., also replaced the title screen by naming a graphic TITLEPIC, but GZDoom isn't letting me take a screenshot there, so you're just gonna have to trust me when I say that also worked for me). 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ironmanmine12 Posted September 9, 2021 Thanks! I saw the picture was a PNG, and my picture was a Doom Graphic. I changed it to PNG, and then it worked. Thanks :) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SMG_Man Posted July 5, 2022 Try removing the .png extension from each (press ctrl+R to rename them in SLADE) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DΞLTΛ Posted August 1, 2022 If you have a interpic, titlepic, or bossback graphic at 16:9 (about 1920 x 1080 resolution), it'll fit quite well... Only caveat being that in order for it to work, you would need to play in a 16:9 aspect ratio otherwise you'll get ugly black borders on the sides. Spoiler zoomed out for your convenience. graphic when playing in 16:9 aspect ratio. graphic with aspect ratio turned off. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
