PSX Doom

Hi all,

 

I've been trying to find a PSX Doom Mod, with PSX Music and Maps, but all the versions I've tried so far haven't worked.

These errors might be because I am running the latest version of GZDoom and the Mods are untested on that.

 

I've tried a few, including ones that you load alongside Brutal Doom, and one where someone had put the two together (leaving little scope for me to mess things up). Here is the error for that one:

 

 

Does anyone know a version that runs with current GZDoom?

Hi again, I just downloaded the Brutal PSX DOOM file to see if it would work for me. The result was a fatal error, just like in your PC.

 

Look, I had the same problem. I was trying to find PSX DOOM for GZDoom but I always ended up getting error screens. Later, I managed to find a TC of PSX DOOM for GZDoom which actually worked. No fatal errors, just the original PSX maps, music and enemies. Here's the link and I hope it will work for you

There is - have a Google! I think it might work with an older GZDoom version.

 

I've got PSX Doom TC working now, and that is fine with me - the music and maps are right, I'm happy with that!

The latest GZ is 4.7.0, not 4.6.1 in your screen. Admittely, it released a few days ago.

Oh really! Good to know, thank you. I downloaded it this week so assumed it was most recent. Is it just a matter of overwriting the existing files with the new version Download?

Juat extract to a fresh folder to be certain.
