map07 text screen

i want to change the map07 text screen when you enter it without using mapinfo because i tried it and it just ended the game right after the text screen finished

unless something have been added on lastest port features that im not aware of, but you cant change the text of a map without mapinfo, can you post your mapinfo? because its sounds like the example used for it was the mapinfo of map30 instead map07.

Beside MAPINFO there'd DEHACKED. And utilities that would let you change it.

There's a guide to changing map names in the subforum, all texts can be changed this way.

Basically you repeat the original text and insert your own. Now, vanilla, chocolate need a separate .deh file while most of the ports can just read this info directly from the WAD, from DEHACKED lump.
