Chasing Towards Tomorrow. . . .

Chasing towards tomorrow. . . .
Moving forward half-blindly --
I can't fully explain it thoroughly;
I want to overcome internal sorrow.

 

Petty nagging thoughts;
Deceiving negativity --
I don't want to succumb completely;
My limiting humanity I want to surpass.

 

I know for certain who I need to be.
I know to gaze into the future faithfully --
Though lacking all the answers,
Through it all, comes fleeting clarities. . . .

 

Chasing towards tomorrow. . . .
Maneuvering forward in a wide-awake dream --
I can't grasp control fully;
I want to take the lead, not to always follow.

 

Petty perpetual schemes;
Contriving wants and needs --
I don't want today to end just yet;
My potential has only begun to be met.

 

I know my place in this imperfect reality.
I know to replace complication with simplicity --
Though complexity is not always clear,

Through courage synergizing with faith I throw away fear.

 

Chasing towards tomorrow. . . .
Petty things become precious for eternity --
I know with absolute certainty
I created no regrets for today.
