Following the small success and praise that received Black N' Blanco : Adventures in Monochrome a few months ago, I've began work on a sequel at the same time. Progress was steady, and participating in the 2021 edition of NaNoWADMO has allowed me to create and enhance a fresher, more interesting player experience. Now, as I'll be focusing back on the Episode project, please welcome the official Demo Version of BNBII ! ================================================================================================================ What's new in this version ? ================================================================================================================ - More texture and spriting work (yeah, yeah, I know, enemies are still not designed differently. Don't worry, though : this will be the case in BNBII)! - A custom-made weaponry (with revamped weapons straigth from Realm667), some sporting Altfire functions ! Spoiler - The starting fist : does okay damage, and has been customized to play funny sounds when you punch enemies to death ! - The Dreadful Rings of hatred : put these babies on, and fry to a crisp those pesky demons ! If you find a Sigil of Brutality, they go way faster and harder ! - The Family Heirloom : Bowtie's starting weapon, inherited from his Grandfather before him. Alongside the classic boolet expelling experience, it has also been retrofitted with an emergency shell shooter, allowing you to use shells for self-defense purposes ! - The Rusty Pal' : straight from the Deep West, this peculiar partner will gun down from respectable distances even the most seasoned foes ! - The Super Boomstick 2000 : when all else fails, don't worry ! This bad boy can become the n°1 crowd-control tool and destroy everything in its path. Resistance is futile ! - The Maschine Pistola Mk.I : ammo conservation ? Never heard of it ! Blasting down enemies has never been this fun thanks to this lil' guy, especially with its double-action trigger that allows for uncanny levels of fire rate ! - The Rocket Tube : it's just a tube. That shoots missiles, for some reason. - The Arcane Topaz of Rim Biliton : don't be fooled by its jovial appearance ! Hailing from an elusive country filled with deadly and cruel magic, this bastard can blast away foes with dreadful efficiency. And it even sports a deadlier beam of doom ! - The Ancient Mage's... Grocery List ?! : somehow, a warlock turned this seemingly normal notebook into the most powerful book in the universe. Should you find it, nobody shall resist you ! - New sounds, and revamped old ones ! - Enhanced jumping mechanics, brought to you by AirControl the magic of aerodynamics ! - A custom menu look + launcher (courtesy of @Matacrat) ! - A new soundtrack ! - A scoring system for all "gamers" out there ! - Collectibles ! LavaWave Posted November 1, 2021 Played it, it uses fun gimmicks you don't usually see in many doom wads (at least the wads I played) as well it requires you to know to jump well to proceed, it was challenging and fun yeah. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
