Vista source port recommendations

I want to play doom on my aunt's old Windows Vista laptop, but I need a source port that's not to demanding on a slow computer. I currently use ZDoom but have been considering switching to prboom+. If anyone knows any low power, but good source ports, feel free to let me know

LZDoom would probably be the go-to. It's basically aiming to keep as much of the modern features as possible, but be less demanding, and able to run better on old hardware.

 

Of course, if you just want to play Doom and don't really care too much about mods or advanced functionality, PrBoom+ is perfectly serviceable. There's also some other forks of stuff you might want to check out, like Woof! (a modernized WinMBF) or Pooch (the same, but with some enhancements) for example.

dsda-doom is the most modern and up to date incantation of prboom+ I highly recommend it.

You may want to try some of drfrag ports
