Wadmodder Shalton Posted November 15, 2021 Everyone here knows about the alpha versions of Doom during development and the development files that John Romero released back in 2015, but very few are aware of the early versions of Freedoom versions before 0.6.4 and versions after that. The evolution of the textures & sprites are very noteworthy and a few texture & sprite packs exist in the form of the Freedoom leftovers available on the idgames combos wad directory and two releases of Nostalgia Arsenal (a standard one and a Retro Pack) by Mod DB user HeyItsDuke. However, the maps are very under-documented due to not many videos on YouTube showcasing them. These maps range from the old versions designed for Boom, to limit removing, and lastly to near vanilla maps made much later in Freedoom Phase 1 & 2's development, and maybe even FreeDM's development. I've always wanted to do demo recording in PrBoom-Plus, but I haven't been able to do so for now. So is anybody here interested in recording demos for the cut maps of Freedoom? Feel free to provide comments here. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
