Alephany Posted November 16, 2021 For example : I'm trying to make an S on the floor but I'm so bad at "drawing" it, it doesn't even look like an S anymore. So I was wondering if there are any models I could take example from? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Perhaps you're unhappy the ends at the top and bottom aren't curved downward or upward slightly, as they are in many fonts or perhaps, in your own handwriting. If that's the case, I would suggest you add some vertices to the ends and curve them up/down in a similar way to the way you curved the body of the "S." 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 TheMagicMushroomMan Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) I'm slightly confused. You're having trouble making an "S" using line defs? What editor are you using? I'm not too experienced, but you should have a "draw curve" option to help you. ^^^Not perfect, but here is a quick example I made for you. 0 Nihlith Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) It might help to make the grid smaller so that you can get finer detail. There are also numbers and letters in the IWADs that could be repurposed as textures. Edited November 17, 2021 by Nihlith 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 DarkIceCyclone Posted November 17, 2021 If your grid or letter is too small it won't look like an s. If it's large enough, you can use curved linedef tool. You can also draw them manually by remembering this rule: A circle always goes left/right, but will always go down-left-down or down-right-down. it's not 100% but you can make curves manually quite well by remembering this. It's more trial and error though. Also check out @Nihlith and @TheMagicMushroomMan suggestions. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

0 Kan3 Posted November 17, 2021 You could just create your S shape line, curving it with the appropriate tool if you don't want to waste too much time, and then use the "Stairs" tool (I forgot its name). So you're gonna have a "perfectly" fine S shaped sector 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
