Sprites on custom monster wont show

Maverick460

Question

Ive been trying to create my custom dude. so hes basically like a reskin from the gun grunt in doom, with some stetic changes.
Thing is ive alreay finished all the spriting you could say, loaded into slate whiht the monster wad open. and when i use it on the editor, the mosnter appears but when i test the map they are invisible, thing is i still have to do the jibbing. so when i jibbed htem the normal jibbing animation appears.
So my question is what did i do wrong?
Is it possible i missed the colour pallete? even if im using Zdoom editor?
Im kinda lost any help would be apreciated

The first thing to check is the offsets. By default a 0,0 offset puts the enemy sprite in the ground. Make sure you use Slade's offset options and pick "monster offset": that'll make it appear in roughly the right place automatically.

It might be something else you've done wrong, but personally that's the step I always find myself forgetting about until I run the game and realize the sprite isn't visible.

When having an issue like this, its best to send screenshots of that sprite's files within Slade, its decorate def, and maybe its offsets just like @Bauul stated. I did encounter a sprite's offset issue at some point when I was defining a new decorate where I had to position every single sprite's image in their correct offset almost 40 times. The way I knew It was an offset problem was that the monster used to peek its head above the floor when I test the map. Refer to zdoom.org/wiki for more info.
