How do I turn on/off teleporters?

I need a linedef to not trigger the teleport, but to do it later, when something changed.

I first thought "I just set the space between the floor and the ceiling at the destination to 0, so it can't teleport you there",

but it still did and you just end up getting stuck.

 

Is there some way to block the teleporter exit in a way I can unlbock later (f.ex. through a movable entity or similar).
