Kes Gaming YT Posted December 9, 2021 So, I started playing Doom the Golden Souls Remastered. Fantastic mod! Love it to death, been super fun, and super chill, the perfect thing to cool off with after the mess that was Maximum Doom. Here's the deal though. I ran into a bit of a weird issue with Map 12 "Dark Side of the Moon" There's this big coin that you have to collect that is surrounded on all sides by these mines (picture attached). For some odd reason though, I'm completely unable to jump down and get it. Whenever I try, I get right above where the mines are, and then it is as if I have hit an invisible vertical wall. I watched a couple of people do it on YouTube, including BigMacDavis and they seemed to just be able to jump right over it and float down and grab it. Of course, they were playing the original version, so I tried that too, but same problem. My only conclusion is that some setting I have in GzDoom is preventing it from working correctly, but I don't even know where to begin to poke around for something like that. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks for your help, guys! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Expand Upon reading this, my first suggestion would be to go to Options -> Compatibility options -> Compatibility mode, and change it to "Default". Now I am not sure if this change takes effect after a map change or does the change apply immediately, but I think the change takes place immediately. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

It was on Doom (strict) and after it switching it to default, it totally got rid of that whole issue. Thanks mate, you're the man! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
