Exporting/Compiling Doom Maps for Blender?

I was wondering if there is any tool able to export geometry and textures from Doom Maps to Blender, so they can be re-exported and used in other game engines? Godot, for example.

I tried this actually about a week ago, though I wasn't able to export the textures. ~ although, it could still be texture/painted in something like Sculptris or Zbrush. ~ mainly so the obj will have an embedded uv or texture map information..

I used UDB and exported an old map I made as a .obj then later loaded it up in Gzdoom. From that point I just applied a random texture to the model so I could see it in game.

It should load up in blender too since it supports importing as .obj.

Here's a quick test:

A shot of the map I exported as a .Obj from UDB:

A shot of the map as an .Obj model imported into Blender:

Thanks for the help! I've tried it and having the geometry is a great first step! It's quite clean as well.

Apparently GZDB (Bugfix) also exports .mtl (material info) along the .obj. When you import the .obj into blender it automatically loads that mtl file.

If you have checked the box "Export textures" everything should be textured in blender. I think the uv's are stored in the obj but textures/materials aren't if i'm not mistaken, so you need the mtl for an obj. Pretty neat!

I know nothing about .obj files, but looks like this guy managed to export them with textures too? Might be useful!
