Kaapeli47 Posted December 16, 2021 This is a pretty good concept! It's not only for playtesting the maps but also talking with the creators themselves about how they came to be. I'm not much of a mapper but I've developed Insanity Deathmatch, a weapon and item mod for FFA gamemodes. I'm planning to make a Co-op version of the mod with the same weapons but also with custom monsters and random monster spawns, and the mod would work on any classic Doom map set. This wouldn't be anything modern, just a classic-styled weapon, item and monster extension thing like Skulltag was, with random spawns for each. So if you're having a go with testing a co-op mod here and there along with the map sets you're playtesting and talking about, I'd be interested when I have some good progress in the mod so it's ready to be tested! If not, I'm still really keen on hearing every mapper's progressive insights and process throughout the playthroughs. Feedback is super handy whilst I'm figuring this thing out so I really appreciate it. If you want to add a note to the thread in the initial post as I'm using that to organise, but if you've created something doom and you're happy to hop in-game with me we'll work out a way to make it work!
