sprites gun

So I am trying to make a custom gun. I am doing it in gimp v2.10.28 and I need to resize my sprite to the normal pistol. Can I get an help.

A follow up question from me would be:
What else outside GIMP are you using to make the custom gun? Because there is Whacked, SLADE...

ok I have whacked, slade, and doom.wad doom2.wad. I am using "Doom Weapon Tutorial Part 1 - Spriting" as a reference and I need to find where doomhud is in dooms files. If you cant help me I will try to give more info.

Nah, don't get down on yourself mate.  When you're first starting it can be hard to describe exactly what you want to do. I hope you stick with it and can make something cool.

If you want to resize a sprite in GIMP, you can use "Scale Image" in the Image menu.

Keep the height and width linked, and make sure you change the interpolation to "None", so you don't wind up with blended pixels and it stays nice and sharp.  Just be prepared to edit a few pixels if you lose some detail in the resize.

 

I use GIMP for my spriting, and I'm no expert, but I've learned a few tricks for low res image editing.  If you have any more questions I'll help out if I can.
