Guess the Map [XI edition] (Extra newer Hints!)

The idea is simple, you see screenshots of map layouts from the widest pool ever that is doom content, and you're free to guess as many maps as you can. Each and every map will belong to a different wad to make things varied and interesting, and they can belong to Ultimate Doom/Doom 2, Final Doom, Heretic, commercial and non-commercial PWADs from those games, and partial/total conversions as well. As per usual, the difficulty of the guesses will grow gradually, with random spikes and thorns and whatnot, so basically a contemporary sort of difficulty curve, and I know this edition isn't going to be easy. 

 

We are however reminding you of a couple important notes:

 

- Answers MUST be hidden in spoilers, no exceptions. This is an old rule but we're setting it clear now. If you don't use the spoiler option, your guesses won't count.

- You may resort to the search bar, web pages, or whatever assistance in case you're not 100% sure of the wad and/or slot but feel like you've seen the map before. 

 

Like before, the screenshots will be accompanied by a hint for each one. A new hint for each will be revealed on the 25th of December, and the answers on the 28th. So get guessing!

7. The hint makes me think of a random ZDoom level that I probably never played and the design probably resembles Ultimate Simplicity but this is an incredibly far-fetched guess and I am definitely unsure of things and wow what a run-on sentence.

9. Probably a vanilla Heretic level.

10. Estranged MAP30

11. The hint makes me think of that one level that is the boss level after Thunderpeak in ZPack. But the geometry at the bottom makes me think of something else. Must be a didy level. Axiom? Sigma?

12. It's not MAP07 of Doom II (because of the dummy sector on the right and the missing deathmatch only part on the NW). Other than that no clue.

13. More square sectors than I can handle.

14. Imma have to remember my 2021 megawads. Sign of Torment perhaps?

16. Author logo shows that this is a 3HA map, question is which one?

19. I feel like the central plus-shaped sector at the bottom center is where you start.

20. I think I know this one, Water Spirit perhaps? Must be MAP01 since it says it's the first level.

23. I didn't know another wad required SiH's resources.

12. I can tell it's not Dead Simple because it's missing the DM exit. As for what it could be... dang.

13. Chex Quest E1M5? It's stilll WAY too tempting to double check in Slade. Yeah the hint confirmed it but then I thought "what if the CQ3 version's meaningfully different enough for it to be that?" but it looks like the last room's a lot simpler in that one so it's CQ1.

22. Abyss Map31. I know it's that wad and that part of it, but the thought that it could actually be 32 is having the same effect as my above guess.

Just thought of adding an extra special third hint, this time I've decided to extract 3-4 letters from the wad names without altering the order, so you'll have a piece for each that may help you better to recognize or remember the correct answers, or maybe not!... It's an experiment, but I figured a little twist to the game wouldn't hurt :)

Interesting idea. If I ever did a third hint again it would probably be either first or last letter in my case, ended up finding a couple more as a result of all this.
