VulgarVixen Posted January 4, 2022 Hey guys, I want to experiment in creating sprites: more specifically, sprites like the Vixen I've included here. Which program can I use to create these kinds of sprites and/or what kind of programs are you guys using? It would be great if the program included the ability to see the sprite frames in action when working through them & when complete (if that's not possible, could you guys tell me or point me in the right direction for an external program that does do this?) *I'm on Windows 10 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

You can find it here and it's great for basic editing and sprite creation. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post

Lobo Posted January 5, 2022 Pretty sure I saw an add-on/plugin for paint.net for importing spritesheets too. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

jaeden Posted January 5, 2022 I personally usually make sprites by creating models using blender, then rendering/postprocessing them into individual sprites using a specialized script. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
zokum Posted January 6, 2022 Grafx 2 is excellent for this type of work. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

DΞLTΛ Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) OK... You might think I'm trolling here, but I use, of all things: microsoft powerpoint, for my sprites. If you want I can make a tutorial. UPDATE: I did some research and well... I think I'll use mspaint for my sprites. Edited May 17, 2022 by DELTAincognitomode256 Just because i felt like it... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Zemini Posted May 12, 2022 I use adobe since i get it for free from work. But it has a very steep learning curb. TBH it is best use for recoloring established monsters and adding/removing cosmetics from other monsters(horns, arms, eyes). Creating sprites from scratch is beyond my capabilities. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

ramon.dexter Posted May 13, 2022 (edited) Heh, powerpoint to do sprites again. You know, you can use your left foot to scratch behind your right ear. But that doesnt mean it's efficient. Try for a moment using any normal image editor (not mspaint) and you will see it. Edited May 13, 2022 by ramon.dexter 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
