I also raised this point before but got no comments - I feel like the flattening of the small font is difficult to read. Agree/disagree?

I would prefer to look for/make from scratch a replacement, like simply typing out letters in Arial or similar ordinary font.

I tested the 2.1 compilation a bit in dsda-doom 0.24.3 and GZdoom 4.8. I also took a look at the font gfx in Slade3, some of the symbols do look slightly squashed or less readable, mainly the 5 and 6, and a few others.

Not sure if you meant flattened in size or that that the colors are flatter, I'm guessing the color/shading, because I can scale the message text to 2 or 3 in GZ and pickup messages are readable, and in dsda the messages are already a reasonable size.

@knifeworld @ViolentBeetle Unfortunately, this month i will be completely immersed in my job, so i won't be able to do next compilation. I will be glad if someone does it. Yes, latest compilation is v2.1. Not tested maps updates after that moment.
There are few problems in project:
- We need to find replacement for map03, as map's author left the project
- Fix message "The end" at map06, map11, map20. In UMAPINFO intertext = clear, or add any proper intertext

All information on maps collected here in table

I can probably take over and manage the wad. Is the link given by kinfeworld correct one?

Do we actually need to replace withdrawn maps? We have UMAPINFO to so we can end them whenever we need.

Yes, please. Link is correct, it's latest compilation v2.1.

Although yes, indeed we can just end wad after map29. But if there are those who want to create simple map (around slot 03), then this is welcome.

Personally i don't see any secret map as regular one, they both quite hard/unusual.

So, any takers for making extra map quick then? Maybe someone can make something in like a week, and if not, we can just end at 29+2 maps.

I think this went on for long enough, I'd rather not wait for long.

And do we have a secret exit for secret maps?

Most likely there are no secret exits. I think it's ok to just leave two secrets separately, doom community knows what to do with them ;)
We can release rc1, wait for public responses, and if we there will be no takers to create a map so let it be 29+2 megawad, why not.

I'll need a few days to find time and properly organize the wad, I think some updates are required. If there's no takers by then, I'll make a new topic without replacement. It worked for TNT 2, didn't it?

If we need one map so bad, then I can take this slot and make something, if nobody against it.
After all, I want to see 32 maps, not 31...

It can take a 1 or 2 days for me.

Map Name: Construction Site.

 

Author: RastaManGames.

 

Theme: Town/City/Urban/Interior.

 

Music: Unknown MIDI track that was found on my PC. Gonna be glad very much if someone can help me to recognize it.

 

Difficulty Settings: Implemented (i tried to make each walkthrough kinda different).

 

Multiplayer: Cooperative player starts and several deathmatch player starts with unique items.

 

Ports Tested: "DSDA-Doom" (all works fine except few visual glitches), "GZDoom" (all works fine).

 

Description: There are weeks passed after Icon Of Sin destruction, but there is still some unkilled groups of demons here & there. One report said that in the one of the almost constructed building workers started to missing. It may be just stupid rumor, but yesterday a police officer disappeared too. As rookie UAC unit you was sent to this building and all was OK until you reached top floor. There is dead silence everywhere, but your inner instincts said "Demonic presence at unsafe levels." Get ready, hellish bastards! The cleaner service has arrived.

 

Notes: This map was made as replacement for missing MAP03 of "DIY" community project. Due to this there is not gonna be hordes of tough enemies. While working on this, my UDB just suddenly deleted few middle textures (mostly doortracks and buttons). I tried to restore them, but can miss something. Let me know, please, if there is bugfix needed.

 

Known Bugs: Found none at this time.

 

(File was removed to resolve some space on my DW account...)

Played it in preparation. Pretty good stuff.

I ran out of ammo in the end, had nothing to fight baron with. Maybe you should add some more ammo. Or maybe I should learn to play better. I am not really sure baron is useful for anything there.

I will be compiling the wad tomorrow, with clearer head.
