Creepy Doom 3 Idea

I was listening to the ambient sounds of Doom 3 from the beginning of the invasion and had an idea. What if when the invasion started, almost everyone was instantly killed and then the sounds you hear aren't real, and just sounds created by the demons of voices and combat within the walls to scare the Doomguy? That would be really crazy.

Yeah, that would be creepy. Although I think if the demons enjoy messing around with survivors, they wouldn’t prematurely kill almost everyone. They would leave a bigger number of humans alive, separated from each other, and play their game with them.

If Doom 3 was made in the Source engine, I imagine that this idea wouldn't be too far off.
