Status of all the Pwads storage

1. I heard the Key Master for Idgames has passed awhile ago. Are the Pwads safe? Is there anything the Doom community should / can do to keep them safe? Asking the question because I don't want them to Go Away and I haven't done anything to stop it. Please feel free to share any and all Info on the Topic. Or just your opinion.

The idgames archive is safe. The late Ty Halderman was replaced by two other people, and there are a number of active mirrors that contain a copy of the content.

 

Also, sometimes, people just download everything and then upload the massive archive somewhere. E.g. https://archive.org/details/idgames even though it's a bit old now (July 2013).

I'd say that the massive archive being old is a good thing, since you'd be able to see what sort of things people made back in the day.

Different kind of "old", the archive.org upload of idgames is the exact same as current idgames, it just lacks the most recent 8.5 years (mid-2013 to January 2022) of uploads.
