Kor Posted February 10, 2022 I started up my laptop the other day and I got a notice about upgrading to Windows 11. My guess is it's going to continue doing this. So I gotta ask, does anyone know if GZDoom will run in Windows 11? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
gwain Posted February 10, 2022 Im not sure if this will help but "On Windows 11 beta and developer builds, third-party Windows 10 apps work without any noticeable issues, and we expect this to continue in the public release. So unless you are trying to work with legacy apps developed for Windows 7 and 8.1, all the Windows 10 programs will work on the new OS." switch to gentoo 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Demondice Posted February 10, 2022 Running Win 11 at the moment and I haven't noticed any problems with GZDoom, DSDA, or any of the editing utilities I use. In fact I'm yet to find any app or game at all that worked on 10 but doesn't work with 11. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gibbon Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) It would be a monumental mistake for Microsoft to screw up any form of compatibility. But since GZDoom uses OpenGL and Win32, there is nothing to worry about. Edited February 10, 2022 by Gibbon 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Kor Posted February 10, 2022 Thanks for the info everyone. I just thought I saw in the message that some apps may no longer work in Win11. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
7Mahonin Posted February 10, 2022 I have windows 11 on my desktop and GZDoom runs flawlessly. Specs are important though. A lot of people that complain about performance tend to never mention their computer specs, and that usually tends to be their actual issue. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted February 10, 2022 Works perfectly fine on my new system. I tested a few OpenGL titles and none of them had any issues. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post
