I wanted to take map32 since I have ideas for that and I'm still stuck on map14's ideas. maybe working on something I have ideas for will actually be useful to give me ideas for that map.

 

also update: I got covid again so I'm currently fucking dying but that gives me time to work on doom stuff ;)

Hello. Considering I'm the one who handles MAP31, I need to ask this just to be sure. Should the exit in my map be a regular exit (which leads to MAP16) or a secret exit (which leads to MAP32)? Or perhaps-- may I put both? Honestly, I would love to make it like in the most famous megawads, in which there is a regular exit and there is a secret exit, but players who want to get into the secret exit must do certain things in order to access it. I'm thinking to make some kind of Commander Keens hunting, in which players must seek and kill a few hidden Commander Keens in order to open the secret exit (just like in Speed of Doom) However, if you don't like this idea, then it's okay.

 

Oh yeah, I think you also should address this (whether to make a regular exit, a secret exit, or both) to the person who makes MAP15

My original plan was to force the player to do MAP32 as well, Plutonia-style. The MAP15 secret exit is also a forced death exit, so keep that in mind :^)

Secret exit should be relatively easy to find, just don't die lmfao

MAP15 release candidate 1

 

NAME: Mtn. Dew Sanctuary

MUSIC: Steel Works (TNT Evilution)

 

Pretty short and difficult map, but I made use of joined sectors for cool tricks, and had fun with the silly premise

 

@forgettable pyromaniac I just posted my list a couple of days ago, so shouldn't be too hard to find.

The most rage-inducing pistol start I've ever experienced. Couldn't finish it. Probably works better if played continuous, but pistol-start is profoundly unfair both on HMP and UV from where I'm sitting. Really fucking mean, mate.

Woah. Alright, I'll turn down the heat and add some ammo. Did you find the plasma gun behind spawn?
