Try this: https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/utils/level_edit/acaddoom And try to import that in UDB. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
1 Doomkid Posted March 13, 2022 If there's any chance it could help, I did find an old thread and an old site that mention it: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/38666-autocad-in-doomdoom2/ https://web.archive.org/web/20060720134349/http://rurban.xarch.at/projects.shtml 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Very similar in the way it uses textures and other elements. I also have hundreds of cad drawings and still use it all the time but it's hard for me to see where you could jump the learning curve that way. If you are going to map, you really need to dig in and learn the hard way. Ultimate Doom Builder is the editor of choice these days. Edited March 14, 2022 by Borg 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I think it would be easier with autocad because i can get a better idea about the scale of the map im working on. The units in pixels are a bit confusing to me so i either end up with too big maps or too small. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Cad is in real world dimensions and Doom mapping editors are in pixels or units if you want to use that term. If you look at the textures you see that they are in the unit or pixel format. I'm not sure how that translates to inches or millimeters. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
