Question

Doom Builder is being a bit of a bum and removes the textures from the pwad i insert. its obviously quite frustrating so help would be appreciated (oh, and fyi they arent new textures, they are texture replacements)

The usual mistakes people make is overwriting the wad (using save as instead of save into when making a new map), and having both Doom Builder and Slade3 open at the same time (programs can't logically know each other are manipulating the same file).

Doom Builder does no such thing, it's not in it's capabilities. You are instead doing something very wrong with how you're editing your wads.

so i tried to not do either of those things and it still uses the vanilla textures.

Its not a matter of trying - Only have either Slade3 open or either Doom Builder open with the same file.
