Frost-Core Posted March 18, 2022 (edited) Hi well this looks funny, anybody know how to fix it? Edited March 18, 2022 by Frost-Core 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted March 18, 2022 (edited) Options -> HUD Options -> Scaling Options. Then tweak "User interface scale" or the override for "Fullscreen HUD" to your taste. And don't forget to tick the "HUD preserves aspect ratio" option, too. Edited March 18, 2022 by Gez 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gez Posted March 18, 2022 Personally what I did was add a shortcut to GZDoom in the Windows "SendTo" special directory so I can just right-click a mod (or any other file) and do "send to -> GZDoom". But an alternative to that is to use a launcher, like ZDL or Doom Launcher or another. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Is there a linux version? be sure to link it, also one thing is that multiplayer is supported in the client, but i dont see any option to get to a server. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

GZDoom is "ok" for LANplay but if you wanna take it online you're better of with for example Zandronum. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted March 18, 2022 Launchers do exist on Linux, though since I use neither launchers nor Linux I can't really give you any particular advice. I found this, though: https://old.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/6dxc7y/are_there_any_solid_linux_doom_launchers/ As for multiplayer, in GZDoom the netcode is still based on the original Doom netcode, meaning it's better described as a peer-to-peer thing than as a client-server model. That makes it less generally convenient. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xX_Lol6_Xx Posted March 18, 2022 For multiplayer, you should check out the multiplayer focused source ports. https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Multiplayer#Multiplayer-focused_source_ports The only one that you'd have to run through Wine is ZDaemon, as is a Windows only port. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

There's a Linux build of ZDL here: https://github.com/lcferrum/qzdl/releases/tag/3-1.1 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
